Applications are invited from following persons to work purely on contract basis for two years for the Conservation/Preservation of Public Records in the National Archives of India.

1. Preservation Assistant: 20   Essential Qualification: Minimum 10^th pass and trained in Archival Conservation.      Age:  Not less than 18 years

 Fixed Payment -  Rs.15000/- per month

The persons trained by the school of Archival studies of National Archives of India and other related Institutions in this regard will be preferred. The Retired staff of National Archives of India in the field of conservation may also apply for the same.

2. Conservation Attendants: 2     Essential Qualification:  8^th pass.  Trained persons in the field of conservation of documents would be desirable.

Age:  Not less than 18 years. Fixed payment - Rs.10000 /- per month

The Retired staff of National Archives of India in the field of conservation may also apply for the same

The persons will be selected on the basis of practical test and interview by a selection committee. He/She will be required to achieve the targets fixed/assigned.  The services can be terminated at any time if the performance is not found satisfactory. No traveling allowance will be paid for attending the above Test/Interview in the National Archives of India. The application in the prescribed format and along with the attested copies of the Educational/Technical Qualification  may be sent to the Director General of Archives, National Archives of India, Janpath, New Delhi within 20 days of the publication of this advertisement.

Terms and Conditions

(For Contractual appointment)

1.  The services are purely on contractual basis for a period of two years.

2. The applicant should possess the necessary qualification and experience as mentioned in the

    Advertisement for the posts of Preservation Assistant and Attendants for Conservation. 

3.  The Preservation Assistants will be paid an amount of Rs.15000/ p.m. and the Attendants for

     Conservation a sum of Rs.10000/-p.m. (Both Fixed).

4.  He/She will be required to achieve the targets fixed/assigned by NAI.

5.  The services can be terminated at any time if the performance is not found satisfactory.

6.  During the contract period no leave will be allowed and payment deducted on pro-rata basis if

    absent on medical ground.

7.  If absent for more than five days the contract will be terminated without any further

    notice.
